Australia's MANDRAKE Release New EP, Support DEEP PURPLE, STATUS QUO

May 11, 2006

Currently on tour with DEEP PURPLE and STATUS QUO on their 2006 Australian Tour, MANDRAKE have just released their new self-titled EP, which can be purchased via the band's official web site, www.mandrake.com.au.

Commented MANDRAKE guitarist/singer Conrad Passas: "It is incredible to be part of the current wave of popularity hard rock is enjoying in this country, and indeed the world. I've often heard of the big acts mentioning just how popular they are with teenagers these days...and it's true, most of the MANDRAKE CDs and T-shirts sold on this tour have been to kids not yet into their 20s...their dads are buying the DEEP PURPLE CDs, so they don't have to — but they're buying our stuff with their own money...we are humbled by this act of appreciation!!"

MANDRAKE will rejoin DEEP PURPLE and STATUS QUO for their final night of the tour at the Royal Theatre in Canberra on May 14.
